The overlapping colors and shapes represent the landscape of Morris County and reinforce that everything is connected and interdependent.

BACKGROUND

POWWW is a grass roots, non profit environmental organization in northern Morris County, NJ.  Over the past 28 years POWWW has worked to buy and preserve land in three neighboring towns, protecting the watershed and creating vital greenways for wildlife. Additionally they offer stewardship of the protected lands, build and maintain trails.

ISSUE

As POWWW 's mission of preserving land was realized the organization wanted to transition to environmental education and public out reach. Unfortunately they did not have a user friendly website, a social media presence, a clear message or a call to action. They desired to increase membership and have the younger generation participate in events.

SOLUTION

I created a communication strategy rooted in visual simplicity, designed new branding and messaging, created a brand style guide and developed a website prototype that is intuitive and user friendly. The board members created new and exciting educational events. I supported these events by creating quarterly email newsletters, posters and business cards to handout at events.
